NEWSI received a note informing me of a petition to have a formal clubs system on deviantART. If such a system were to be put in place, it would mean a much more community-oriented, member-friendly club for all of us! (And more active, too, since we could all update when we need to, rather than me needing to find time to do so!)
Here's the important part of the note:
If you would like a club system, then please consider signing this petition. (it's the only way I can think of to tally, and show dA the results)

Unfortunately we've been told that we have to get 3 million signatures (about half of the dA population) to have an impact, but at the very least, if you agree with it, please sign it - and any promotion of it would be appreciated (like in a journal or poll).

So if you're as frustrated as I am because you're doing unnecessary extra work (considering club systems have already been implemented in other sites), then please consider these ways as a means to express yourself. So please, go and add your voice!
REMINDERSWe have 42 members! Keep on recruiting--when we make it to 50 members, there will be a
CONTEST!
If you have any good ideas for what the contest should be, please send a note or leave a comment ~~ but you won't know if your idea is used or not until we have 50 members, it's a surprise!
Please do not forget to link to the EDGE Project in your journal, signature or shoutboard! We need all the help we can get! 
We are currently looking at compiling an art CD to be sold with profits going to either the EDGE foundation, or the World Wildlife Fund. If you would like your art to be included, comment or send a note to the club titled 'Art CD'.
Please keep in mind you must let us know if you want a picture submited to the club or not.
If you have any ideas for the club, or the Project as a whole, feel free to let me know! Comments, questions and concerns can be noted to the club or given on the journals.
